Hi there, I’m April. My story began when I moved from Florida to San Francisco, CA for an unpaid internship. I join the music business and startup-land, but then I got laid off. I wasn’t happy and knew that there was something else out there for me. So I started this blog, The Hipster Home, as a way to explore.

I began working again, but this time in social media and community management. Truth is, I’m not cut out for a desk job. I’m happiest making things.

I am now a practicing writer, artist, and illustrator.
